Komorebi is a Japanese word that can only be described as the light that filters through the leaves of the trees.

As a photographer, I'm in love with light, but it's not just the light, it's the stories that can tell. The life that it lifts out of us. Each person has a unique and beautiful story and I have the passion and privilege to tell your love story and capture that perfect light. So that, you will remember not only the moments, but the emotions, smiles, and love you were surrounded with on your wedding day.

I choose Komorebi Photography pronounced: KO-MO-Reh-Bee, as our business name not only becuase it was unique, but because of the story behind it. My husband and I fell in love while studying abroad in Japan. I found the word when I returned home with a passion for capturing moments and telling love stories. The name not only fit us as a husband and wife team who fell in love in Japan but, we really felt the meaning connected us with how we want to tell your story. As Christians God also calls us to be light in this dark world and we not only want our business to represent love but also faith to shine in a dark world.

Allison + Joe

Allison + Joe

Allison and Joe decided to tie the knot on the cost of Oregon. This gorgeous wedding day adventure was one for the books. I've known Allison and Joe for a long long time and was honored that they asked me to capture their unique and beautiful wedding day adventure!

After everyone was ready, and gathered for the wedding, we asked Allison how she wanted everyone to arrive at the ceremony location. She said "I just imagined us all walking down together" And, you have to give this girl props for doing so in heals! We all went out, parked our cars at the pull off, and walked out on the cliff that was overlooking the beautiful Oregon cost. No music, no seating, just a white dress, a few witnesses, some adventure and a lot of love.

Everything about this wedding day was about the love between two people. Nothing else really mattered. Because really...it's not about who walks down the isle, or when. It's a day where two people make a commitment to each-other, before God, to say "You'll be mine and I'll be yours forever."

Morgan + Josh

Morgan + Josh

This wedding was sheer perfection, from the dress to the dancing. There was laughter and friendship and love. It's everything any bride could ever dream. Morgan and Josh have a special connection. You can tell they were meant for each other. These two high-school sweet hearts said "I do" at The Stone Chapel at Matt Lane farms. And it was gorgeous! A photographers dream.

I can't say enough how honored I was not only to capture Morgan's Wedding. After photographing her brothers wedding just a couple years before! This Arkansas wedding wowed. Not only did it have a lovely setting but a lovely couple. Thank you Morgan and Josh for asking me to be a part of your special day.

I'm in love with these pops of cranberry in her florals!

Rooftop Wedding

Rooftop Wedding

Kaylan and Edwin had a beautiful bilingual ceremony on the rooftop of the Oklahoma City Museum of Art.

This sunset ceremony was nothing short of a unique and beautiful way to begin a lifelong adventure together.

Kaylan got ready with her bridesmaids at the Renaissance Oklahoma City Convention Center Hotel

Ashley Brim, did the Bridal party's make-up. She did a wonderful job.

Kaylan's hair was done by Lindy Moore at Tangles Hair Salon.

Bridesmaids mix + matched thier dresses

Final touches and helping Kalyan into her dress had everyone giddy

Kaylan bought her dress at David's Bridal

Edwin patiently waited to see his bride. We decided the Devon tower atrium would be the perfect place for their first look.

The first time he sees her.

It was a beautiful bilingual ceremony with a touch of hispanic tradition and the couple's own personal style.

Their wedding cake was made by the uptown bakery in Edmond.

Congratulations Kaylan and Edwin. It was truly and honor to be a part of this day.

There is nothing sweeter than a capturing a two people so in love. I just adore my brides! Check out this sweet couple's engagement photos I shot in Springfield Missouri last weekend.

This couples laughter was infectious. I love the real true moments that happen because they happen everyday. They are truly in love. This is a real live beautiful adventure and I'm so blessed to capture these moments.
